Washington, D.C. – In case you missed it: Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (VA-04) announced the Capital Region Airport Commission was awarded a U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Small Community Air Service Development Program (SCASDP) grant. The Capital Region Airport Commission, which oversees Richmond International Airport (RIC), will receive $1,000,000 in federal funding to support air service operations and expand service to the Pacific Northwest.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (VA-04) voted in support of H.R. 5860, the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2024 and Other Extensions Act, to temporarily fund the government through November 17th.
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (VA-04) voted against House Republicans’ extreme Continuing Resolution (CR) to protect hardworking Virginians and Americans across the nation. The proposed CR includes a minimum 30% minimum cut to discretionary spending levels. The CR failed on a vote of 198 to 232.
The clock is ticking as we head towards the end of the fiscal year on September 30th - and the House still has only passed one out of twelve appropriations bills. We only have 4 days to avoid a government shutdown by passing those bills (highly unlikely) or a continuing resolution to authorize spending for a short period of time until those bills can pass. If last week is any indication, we are in for more House Republican chaos and dysfunction.
