“Today House Republicans voted to pass One Big Ugly Bill that betrays the American people by funding tax cuts for the wealthiest few on the backs of the most vulnerable.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (VA-04) joined Democratic Whip Katherine Clark (MA-05) to reintroduce the Child Care Infrastructure Act and the Child Care Workforce Development Act, two bills that address America’s child care crisis with robust investment in early learning facilities and early educators. The bills would build more classrooms, hire more teachers, and in turn, decrease costs for providers and parents.

Washington, D.C. – This week, Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (VA-04) joined the Biden-Harris Administration to celebrate Infrastructure Week. The White House has announced nearly $454 billion in federal funding through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), including over 56,000 specific projects and awards across more than 4,500 communities in the United States.

Henrico, VA – Today, Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (VA-04) kicked off Infrastructure Week by delivering $725,000 to Henrico County to support broadband deployment and help close the digital divide. The federal funding will support the County’s Universal Broadband Deployment project to extend fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) infrastructure to 412 serviceable units. 

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (VA-04) applauded the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) announcement of $3.17 billion in Public Housing Repair funding to 2,756 public housing authorities (PHAs) in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
