Know Your Federal Employee Rights

Since Inauguration Day, the Trump-Vance Administration and Elon Musk have taken aggressive action to target the federal workforce — putting the lives of those who rely on Social Security, Medicare, VA benefits, and other vital federal services in danger. The Administration’s OMB Director, Russell Vought, has said he wants to put the federal workforce “in trauma.”

The Commonwealth of Virginia is home to about 140,000 civilian federal workers, approximately 18,000 of whom live in Virginia’s Fourth. The Trump-Vance Administration’s dismantling of our federal workforce and civil service demonstrates a blatant disregard for the people whose lives and livelihoods hang in the balance.

To all federal employees: I stand with you, and I will continue to fight for you in Washington. I won’t quit. Please don’t quit either. Know your rights, and know what resources are available to you.
