Congresswoman McClellan invites constituents of the Fourth Congressional District to make or collect Valentine’s Day Cards to show support for the men and women who have served our country in the Armed Forces. We’re calling all students, teachers, Boys and Girls Scouts and members of our community to join us in expressing our appreciation for the Fourth District’s veterans.

The Congressional App Challenge is a competition aimed at encouraging middle and high school students to learn how to code by creating their own applications. The challenge is intended to highlight the value of computer science and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education.
The House of Representatives knows how crucial these skills are and wants to encourage students to engage in these fields. By encouraging and recognizing our nation’s young programming talent, Congress hopes to shine a light on the growing importance of these skills.

The internships are designed for undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates interested in learning more about our nation’s legislative branch. This is a paid internship. Candidates with ties to Virginia’s Fourth Congressional District are prioritized.
