McClellan Launches 2025 Women of Excellence Awards Program
This Women’s History Month, McClellan Uplifts Extraordinary VA-04 Women
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (VA-04) launched her second annual Women of Excellence Awards Program to celebrate Women’s History Month and women who make meaningful contributions to Virginia’s Fourth District.
“March is Women’s History Month, an important reminder that women have played an integral role in our nation’s history, but were not always recognized for their contributions,” said Congresswoman McClellan. “The Women of Excellence Awards Program provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary women of Virginia’s Fourth and their meaningful impact on our communities. In Washington, I will continue working to empower women, uplift their stories, and celebrate their achievements.”
If you would like to nominate an extraordinary woman or organization, you may submit a nomination form and supplemental materials via mail, email, or in person. You can nominate a woman for one of the following categories:
- Businesswoman of the Year
- Non-Profit of the Year (note: for non-profits who work to address women’s issues or meet the needs of women and girls in our community)
- The Women of Impact in Education Award
- Women in Action Volunteer Award
- The Dr. Gladys West Women in STEM Award
- Law and Government Champion Award
- Media and Communications Champion Award
This program is open to nominees who reside, study, work in, or provide services to the Fourth Congressional District of Virginia. The deadline is Friday, March 7, 2025.
