McClellan Celebrates the Biden-Harris Administration

Washington, D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (VA-04) issued the following statement reflecting on the historic accomplishments of the Biden-Harris Administration: 

“President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris led one of the most consequential administrations of my lifetime. Over the past four years, the President and Vice President pulled our nation out of an economic and public health crisis, rebuilt our economy, and made extraordinary progress on behalf of the American people. 

“The Biden-Harris Administration centered the needs of the American people in all of their actions and focused on building an economy from the bottom-up and the middle-out, leaving no one behind. They delivered record-breaking job creation, totaling over 16.6 million new jobs, and reinvested in American manufacturing. They restored our international alliances and repositioned the United States as a leader on the world stage. 

“We have witnessed historic legislative progress under the Biden-Harris Administration. With the help of congressional Democrats, President Biden and Vice President Harris signed crucial bills into law, including the Inflation Reduction Act, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the CHIPS and Science Act, and more. Through these bills, we capped the cost of insulin at $35 per month, empowered Medicare to negotiate the most expensive prescription drug prices, made the largest investment in climate mitigation and clean-energy technology in history, began rebuilding American infrastructure systems, and unleashed American innovation and domestic manufacturing.
